Mangomint is a fast-growing vertical SaaS platform that helps salons and spas run their businesses. The platform provides everything small beauty and wellness businesses need to operate, including scheduling, payments, client management, and marketing tools.

The company has grown rapidly. When Marshall Mooney, VP of Sales, joined as employee number six, the team was just getting started. Today, Mangomint has roughly 150 employees and a high-velocity sales organization serving salon and spa owners nationwide.

As the company scaled, Mangomint needed a faster way to prepare reps for frequent demos and short sales cycles. That challenge led them to Avarra.

Challenge: Scaling Sales Readiness in a High-Velocity Sales Motion

Mangomint operates a demanding sales motion. Reps run multiple demos daily, and the average sales cycle is just five days. New hires must ramp quickly and master messaging early.

Before Avarra, Mangomint experimented with several simulation tools, but most felt like lightweight add-ons.

“What we found was everything was mediocre at best,” Mooney said. “These simulators weren’t built to be mission critical.”

Training relied heavily on manual role plays between reps and managers. As the team grew, this approach became harder to scale and gave leadership little visibility into how reps were performing during practice.

“In a high-velocity organization like ours, I need to know who’s doing well in real time,” Mooney explained. “Waiting until next week’s one-on-one was too late.”

Mangomint needed a scalable way to train reps on messaging, scripts, and customer conversations while giving leaders immediate insight into performance.

Solution: AI Sales Simulations Built Around Mangomint’s Real Conversations

Mangomint implemented Avarra to give its sales teams a scalable environment to practice real customer conversations.

Mooney prioritized realism. Simulations needed to reflect how real salon owners speak and how Mangomint reps actually sell.

Key capabilities implemented included:

“We can roll out a new script and see how everyone performs within a few days,” Mooney said. “That used to take weeks.”

Since implementing Avarra, Mangomint has improved both ramp speed and sales performance.

Key outcomes include:

  • AE win rates increased from 29% to 35% in 2025
  • Ramp time for new AEs dropped from eight weeks to four weeks
  • Many new reps now reach full quota in their first month

“The faster we can ramp people and build muscle memory, the more productive our team becomes,” Mooney said.
