AI Engineer (LLM / Conversational AI)

Overview


At Avarra, we’re building AI simulations that help sales teams practice real conversations and improve performance faster. As an AI Engineer, you’ll work on the core of the product, designing and improving the systems that power realistic, high-quality interactions.What you’ll do

• Design and improve conversational flows powered by LLMs
• Build and optimize prompts, evaluation systems, and response logic
• Work on making simulations feel realistic, dynamic, and context-aware
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship new features
• Test, iterate, and improve based on real user behavior
• Stay up to date with the latest in LLMs and applied AI

What we’re looking for

• Strong understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering
• Experience building conversational or AI-driven products
• Solid programming skills (Python, Node.js, or similar)
• Ability to think in systems, not just isolated features
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment
• Clear communication and ownership mindset

Nice to have

• Experience with tools like OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs
• Background in NLP, machine learning, or related fields
• Experience with evaluation frameworks and fine-tuning
• Understanding of sales workflows or training environments
